<The regional kingdoms: Ica, Chincha and Poroma traders and navigators (1,000-1,450 d.C.)
By the year 1,000 A.C. the Wari expansive influences came to an end and states or kingdoms appeared all over the Central Andean area. These were independent societies controlling distinct geographical regions with well planned capital cities functioning as centers of politic, social and economic domination.
This period is characterized by an increased agricultural economy with an enlargement and improvement of the hydraulic systems. There is a high production of the urban centers and a strong short to long distance exchange of all sort of items.
At least three lesser kingdoms sharing some common cultural traits developed in the Ica region: the Chincha, the Ica and the Poroma kingdoms.>
